What is orthokeratology? It is a method to reshaping the cornea to provide clear vision without glasses.

Orthokeratology goes by several names. Some doctors call it Ortho-K, others call it corneal molding. At Bright Eyes, we call it Precise Corneal Reshaping Orthokeratology, or “PCR Ortho-K” for short.
There are many benefits to PCR Ortho-K. Not only does it provide clear vision all day without glasses or contacts, but it is safe and completely reversible. Also, many recent scientific studies suggest that PCR Ortho-K can stop or reduce progression of myopia (nearsightedness). This is very exciting, because it can help children from developing a need for very strong prescriptions.
I know exactly what it is like for a patient going through the process and the excitement that comes from being glasses-free. I have worn glasses every day since I was 10 years old, but after fitting myself with PCR ortho-k lenses, I can drive, swim, and work without glasses or contacts. I love it.
