How do you renew your Emirates ID?

You will receive a text message from the Federal Office for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) asking you to renew your ID.

You have 30 days to renew an expired ID from the expiration date. If you will not renewed your Emirates ID, within 30 days you will have to pay AED 20 per day up to a maximum up to AED 1000.

Emirates residence visa holders can only apply for an extension of their residence visa is renewed or reissued. Emirates Citizens can apply for an Emirates ID renewal 1 to 6 month of prior the expiration date.
