Walla Walla has events throughout the year to celebrate its history, its arts and culture scene, and agricultural bounty. Activities to do when visiting Walla Walla can range from skiing to biking to attending a locally produced theater production. Since there is so much to do in town, obtaining lodging is a must. Things to Do in Walla Walla

For those interested in a physical challenge, head to Walla Walla around the third weekend of May for the Onion Man Triathlon. You can do each event yourself, or you can form a team with one person who does the cycling, a runner, and a swimmer.

Much less strenuous, but incredibly enjoyable is to stroll along Walla Walla’s nationally recognized and award-winning Main Street. The Downtown Walla Walla Foundation has and continues to work diligently to organize partnerships that promote the downtown area. The Foundation also strives to make the area economically viable while preserving important design elements of the downtown that make it attractive to residents and visitors.

Places to Stay in Walla Walla

Camping is a great option for your stay in Walla Walla. Blue Valley RV Park is located right in the heart of many activities. You can leave your car and RV parked and stroll around town. Not only do you have a terrific place to stay at the RV Park, but you can also immerse yourself in the town by walking from one spot to another.

Blue Valley RV Park has sixty sites for larger vehicles. Their sites also include picnic tables and patios so that you can enjoy the fresh air of the Walla Walla countryside. Showers, laundry access, and restrooms are included as part of your fees. Also located in the clubhouse is a shared television and fireplace.

Another locally owned and operated camping site is RV Resort Four Seasons. They are also situated where you enjoy the great outside of Walla Walla easily join all the festivities. Water, sewer, and garbage are all part of the fees. Restrooms and showers are available for their guests. Wi-Fi is included, but its bandwidth is not sufficient to work from your RV, so explore more and see Walla Walla.

Eating Locations in Walla Walla

Walla Walla has a rich agricultural history and many local growers. To complement the fresh food that is available, Walla Walla’s beverage industry creates delectable drinks, beers, and wines for every palate. While there are restaurants of all types, price ranges, and specialties, planning an eating excursion in Walla Walla during Restaurant Month is highly recommended.

During February, participating restaurants offer special prix fixe menus. Usually there are at least forty different specials that are available throughout the city. Restaurant options range from fine dining to casual to breweries. With many of the chefs’ creations, many will suggest and offer at a reduced price, cocktails from local distilleries and wines from local vintners are available to enhance the flavors of the foods.
